The production of fiberglass umbrella ribs primarily relies on composite material molding processes; the core principle involves combining fiberglass with resin to create a rod-like structure characterized by both strength and toughness. First, the raw fiberglass strands must be aligned and arranged in a specific orientation-typically utilizing continuous or woven fiber forms-to ensure structural consistency and integrity when subjected to stress. The prepared fiberglass is then immersed in either epoxy or unsaturated polyester resin, ensuring that the fibers are thoroughly encapsulated by the resin matrix. Subsequently, the material undergoes pultrusion molding through a die; this step draws the material into an elongated rod-like structure, which is then cured and set under heat to form the preliminary umbrella rib-a component possessing stable dimensions and inherent strength.

 

The final stage involves post-processing and assembly, including cutting the ribs to specified lengths, sanding the ends, and attaching connecting joints and riveting components. Some products also undergo surface coating treatments to enhance their abrasion resistance and anti-aging properties. Only after passing through these various stages do the fiberglass umbrella ribs acquire their characteristic performance attributes: being lightweight, highly resilient, and resistant to rust.
