The ribs have marine-grade corrosion resistance. They will not rust or get brittle after a full summer at the beach. The 316L stainless steel rivets resist pitting. Each rib weighs about 15 grams for 600 mm length. The opening feel is still light. The beach umbrella fiberglass ribs are very strong in wind.
