Flipped by wind? No break
Normal windproof umbrellas often break when the wind flips them inside out. We wanted a rib that never breaks. We use bi-stable elastic fiberglass. It can flip 180° and then bounce back. We tested it in a wind tunnel at 120 km/h. The ribs flipped and reset 1,000 times with no damage. A high-end German umbrella brand used our Windproof Umbrella Ribs. Their slogan became "lifetime warranty." Shaoxing Longfan started in 2021.

The ribs have an anti-flip design. When wind flips the umbrella, it auto-resets. It will not break. The high elastic memory means after 1,000 bends, the curve is still the same. The hydrophobic coating prevents ice freezing in winter. The Windproof Umbrella Ribs are very reliable in storms.
