Safety is the most important thing for children's umbrellas. Normal fiberglass ribs can have sharp edges if they break. So we wrap the fiberglass with a layer of soft TPE. Even if a child bites the rib, they will not get hurt. Our factory has REACH and RoHS certifications. A Japanese mother and baby brand bought our Children's Umbrella Ribs. Numbers from our tests
We use flexible fiberglass with a soft TPE outer layer (0.5 mm). The TPE hardness is 65A Shore. The rib ends have round ball tips (≥10 mm) with no sharp edges. The table below shows the key numbers.

The ribs have a soft TPE cover. Children can play with them without getting hurt. The ribs bend and twist without breaking. The round head rivets are buried inside the soft layer. The ribs pass EN 71-3 tests. The Children's Umbrella Ribs are very safe.
