Light frame for high flying
Shaoxing Longfan started in 2021. We make fiberglass products. Kites need a light and stiff frame. Metal is too heavy. Carbon fiber is too expensive. So we use hollow fiberglass tubes. The outer diameter is from 3 to 6 mm. The wall thickness is 0.5 to 0.8 mm. The weight is only 40% of a solid rod. A kite factory in Weifang, Shandong used our box kite frame. Their stunt kite won an award at a national competition. They said light weight was the key to winning. We have 14 patents. Our annual production is 3000 tons.
Precision tubes and UV protection
We make hollow fiberglass tubes. The outer diameters are 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm. You can choose any size. The wall thickness is 0.5 to 0.8 mm. The tubes are very light. Each meter weighs less than 0.8 grams. We cut each rod to a precise length. The length tolerance is ±0.5 mm. This is very accurate. The ends of the rods are sealed. This stops the fibers from separating. The surface has an anti-UV varnish. The varnish protects the rod from the sun. The rod will not get brittle after many hours in the sun. The varnish also makes the rod smooth.

The high modulus of 28 GPa keeps the kite shape in strong wind. The kite will not warp or bend. The anti-UV varnish means no brittleness after long outdoor use. You can leave the kite in the sun for a whole summer. The rods will still be strong. The tight length tolerance of ±0.5 mm makes batch assembly very smooth. You can put together many kites without adjusting each rod. The rods are tough. If the kite falls, the rods do not break easily. The box kite frame is very durable.
Easy to assemble and repair
The rods connect with aluminum sleeves or plastic T-joints. You push the rod into the connector. It fits tightly. No glue is needed. To take the frame apart, you pull the rods out. This is good for storage. You can put the frame in a small bag. If one rod breaks, you can replace it. You do not need to buy a whole new frame. This saves money. The rods are also good for custom kite designs. You can cut them to any length. You can make any shape.
