Sturdy and portable for business
Business umbrellas and golf umbrellas need to be big and strong. Three-fold umbrellas are portable, but the shaft is thin. So we make a two-fold design. The shaft is thicker, and the hinge is stronger. We use a zinc alloy hinge with black nickel plating. A French luxury brand customized our two fold big umbrella frame with a leather sleeve. They sell the umbrella for 200 euros. Shaoxing Longfan started in 2021.
Numbers from our tests
The frame includes a two-section fiberglass shaft (folded ~50 cm, open ~90 cm). The shaft is a tube (outer 12 mm, wall 1.8 mm). The hinge is zinc alloy with black nickel plating. The table below shows the key numbers.

The umbrella has a thicker shaft than three-fold ones. It is much more wind-resistant. The canopy diameter can reach 120 cm, enough for two people. The zinc alloy hinge opens and closes smoothly. Except for the hinge, the whole frame is fiberglass. The two fold big umbrella is very portable.
